Not bad...,

Much easier than the Raptor style. I generally had trouble getting the bike up because I'm 5'5'' and everything is happening above my head. It's a little tough to roll forward but it only takes a couple seconds and once I do it's secure. The rear tie-down is a much better design than other previous models.

Works wonderfully

Yakima makes great products. Well designed and easy to install. This upright bike rack is no exeption. I bought 2 of them and install was 3 min per rack. With both bikes on top, the whole Yakima Q-tower rack system was completely stable and the bikes didn't move at all. I am thoroughly impressed. Only complaint is that my high-profile Yakima fairing won't work with these racks. I have to remove it anytime I want to load bikes. The low-profile fairing should work though, but the instructions say to turn the racks around.

Rack is solid

This rack installed easily and held the bike securely. I wasn't quite sure what to do with the locking cable, however, and it sometimes gets in the way.

Just lift and place....done!

After a long, hard ride (or before one for that matter), the last thing you want to do is take apart the bike, even if it is just the front wheel. What makes the King Cobra especially nice is that it is easy to load or unload your bikes, is lockable (with SKS lock cores sold separately), and accommodates the full range of bicycle wheel sizes (up to 29"). Additionally, because of the way in which it holds the bike, it can also accomodate bike frames which do not have the traditional triangle frame shape, and also will not damage carbon fiber frames. Other racks which grip the frame cannot be used with carbon fiber bikes.....that is not the case here. If you are looking for a bike rack, look no further than the King Cobra.
