Description:
Head east out of town to Road #58. Follow road always staying to your right. Take jeep road #49 also on the right. When you hit the dirt road look to your right and you'll see Red Mountain. Patagonia is on the other side. You basically ride around Red Mountain. About the half way point you'll find Harshaw and old ghost town. In its prime, there were two brothels, a saloon, general store, mining buildings and a post office. Now all that remains is a small cemetery on the side of a hill. Two families still use it which is evident from all the fresh flowers. The climb is easy and winds through red rock formations, sage brush, cotton wood trees and tall dry grass. The descents are rough from all the loose rocks. Big and sharp loose roacks. Very arid and dry. Down low vegitation is almost dead looking. Brittle and dry. No leaves.

Directions to the trail:
From Tuscon head south east on I-10. Then south on Hwy. 83 to Hwy. 82. Take 82 into Patagonia. park car in front of hotel. You can go take the loop east or west. For more information contact the Patagonia Community Association at 888-794-0060.
