Railroad Trail

Closest Major City: Vancouver

Distance: 9.30 miles (14.96 KM)

Description:
This trail is one of my favourite trails because it is the fastest safest way to ride from Richmond B.C. to Vancouver, without the added danger of cars and buses on Granville Street. Granville is pretty much a main artery between the two cities. The trail is a rolling type of trail, it crosses many main roads so getting off of it at the right junction is simple. It runs right next to a major inter town railroad track. Due to the fact that trains can't climb steep hills the trail is long, but shallow.

Directions to the trail:
You can get to it by going left at the Granville and 70th intersection, ride for about 100ft and turn right at the tracks. from here on in you just ride, all the way to Broadway. From that point you go where you please. To the beach at Kitsalano, or over the Burrard St. Bridge to downtown Vancouver. Simplicity in itself .
