Description: 0.5 - take the left fork there should be some signs and climb and begin a steep technical climb; 2.2 - cross the Hamilton Creek Bridge and continue on the trail uphill; 6.0 - continue through a dirt road crossing; 6.6 - at an intersection keep straight on the singletrack; 7.6 - another dirt road crossing, take right and then a quick left turn on the singletrack again; 8.5 - another intersection with a dirt road, this time take a left; 8.6 - at a fork take left; 8.7 - you will come to the intersection with Caribou Trail, continue on Lonesome Trail; 10.0 - When you come to the wilderness boundary it's time to turn around and enjoy some high speed downhilling.
Directions to the trail: From I-70, take Hwy 40 North to Fraser, about 6 miles past Winter Park. Continue through town and take a right on County Rd 8. Take the dirt road about 5 and turn left, drive another 2.5 miles and head towards Devils Thumb Park. This is where you'll find the Lonesome Trailhead.
