Description:
The trail begins with a steep technical climb from the Rainbow Lakes Trailhead. From there it levels off after a mile and begins a rolling ascent to the top at about 4.5 miles. Enjoy the rocky downhill to Brainard Lake Road. From the road you can opt to keep going on an extra stretch of trail, or turn around and head back. The total ride length is 12 miles out and back.

Directions to the trail:
From Nederland take SH 72 North 7 miles to CR 116 and turn left. Follow the road for .5 miles where the trailhead is on the north side of the road.
