Check out the trail map above the outer parking lot. There are often maps you can take with you as well. (very handy). If not, familiarize yourself with the map and plan your route. A good pace to start is the outer red loop. Riding this loop counter-clockwise offers a good taste of the types of trails available within the park. Start this loop in the field on the right side of the main entrance road. The climbing can be tough, the terrain is technical and the views are stunning.

Directions to the trail:
From Hartford, Take I-384 East to Exit 5 (Route 85). Follow Route 85 South for 5.3 miles to the park entrance.
