Battle Creek Linear Park

Closest Major City: Battle Creek

Distance: 17.00 miles (27.35 KM)

Description:
The Battle Creek Linear Park offers a beautiful and safe trail for walking, jogging, cycling, and skating. It joins many picturesque spots for fishing in the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo rivers, canoeing or picnicking. Over 17 miles of paved pathway winds through wooded areas, open fields, parks, and even some commercial areas. Marker posts along the way let you measure your progress in miles or kilometers and to set training goals. Historical, cultural and point of interest signs are also found along the way. Hop on or off the Linear Park trail at the most convenient spot. If you need to drive, there are several parking sites near the pathway - Riverview Park and Bailey Park are two convenient place to park and pick up the trail. Planning for future Linear Park expansion will begin in 1999.

Directions to the trail:
From the East or West, take I-94 to Battle Creek. Parking lots are located off Dickman Rd., off 20th at Jackson St. and W. Michigan, between McCarthy Ave and Capitol Ave S. at Van Buren St.
