The new Lakeshore Park Trail [a.k.a. novi tree farm]has been completely rebuilt due to the loss of a large portion of the park from the Sandstone land acquisition. In the fall of 2002 the MMBA volunteers added 6 new miles of great single track to the park. It is as good a ride as you'll find in the state of Michigan. Presently, the new trail offers a trail system that can be riden by all level riders. At most technical sections, the rider is offered a bypass to either take the obstacle or to wait for another day! It is a great place to bring the entire family for a day of fun. Just a mile or so from the great shopping found on Novi road and I-96, the park also has 3 large play scapes for the kids, private beach access, soccer fields, hiking, cross country skiing, nature walk observation areas, and the 1st class mt. biking trail system. The trailhead sign has a map box. Be sure to pick one up. There are many great loops to enjoy at the Lakeshore Park Trail, but be sure to stop and really enjoy the challenging obstacles at the CRATER! We promise that you'll enjoy it.

Directions to the trail:
Located in the beautiful city of Novi, the Lakeshore Park Trail system is just minutes from the novi road exit off I-96. Take novi road north 4 traffic lights to Old Novi Road. Turn left. Take this to South Lake Shore Dr., which is the 1st light. Turn left. You are now on the shores of Walled Lake, and the entrance to Lakeshore Park will be on your left in about 1/2 mile. You can't miss it.
