Description:
The Vance trails cover a varied topography of steep hills and river bottoms in about equal portions. It is exclusively tight single track that sheds water well with the exception of a 1/2 mi. stretch. This is a fairly technical trail with good climbs and descents, fast flowing tracks along river bluffs, and a few whoop-t-dos as well. A little rough but worth the ride. Similar to Clear Springs but not as severe.

Directions to the trail:
Take the Liberty exit(Highway 24 west) off I-55. Go 20 mi. to Liberty, proceed through the town and about 2 mi. beyond. On the left there will be a sign to the Ethyl V Stratton Natural area. After entering the park go past the large metal bldg. to the trailhead, apprx. 75 yards on the right.
